My Ruling Passion
“To strive…” I strive to be the best in all that I do. In my future, I plan on continuing to be a
positive individual and citizen. I will be working hard through school to gain the skills that are
necessary to make a difference. My envisioned endeavor of going into the medical field and using
therapy to heal and rehabilitate others is what I strive to accomplish.
“…to seek, to find…” For my future career in Physical Therapy I will seek to help any that are in
need. I envision myself continuing to help the ones who are not as fortunate as me. Being blessed with
all that I have and plan on attaining, I recognize the need to reach out and be a positive person in our
society. I want to help someone’s grandfather, mother, hero and friend, even if just to uncover a smile.
The main purpose for entering into such a field is to do my best to give back to a society that has opened
so many doors leading to an endless path of opportunities.
“…and not to yield…” I will not settle for anything less than what I believe is meant for me to
do. I have a focused outlook on succeeding in all. I know that I will be able to overcome and endure
any obstacle that could be intended to bring any of my goals to a halt. This resistance to yield and desire
to strive and seek are what allow me to reveal this vision. The leadership I have learned and acquired
during my secondary education will ultimately and utterly grow throughout my higher education. I will
not yield to the temptation of complacency. I will strive to be a success, and define my success by
seeking and finding those who will benefit from my passion in life.
To the end, I will personify the closing line in Alfred Lord Tennyson’s great poem “Ulysses”;
“to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.” |
